"We may encounter many defeats, but we must not be defeated." (Maya Angelou)
WHAT IS COACHING?
From my perspective, at the heart of Coaching lies a ‘journey of personal and professional positive change’. It offers a process and tools for creating what you want within different areas of your life. The focus is not on "the past", but more on "the present" with which we engage to create your desired future.
Coaching is about coming together in a warm, trusting and honest relationship with someone who is curious about your dreams and aspirations and is willing to negotiate the journey ahead with you.
Are you seeking ✤ A better work-life balance? ✤ Better health? ✤ To make a transition in your career?
Would you like to negotiate ✤ Difficult relationships? ✤ Work-related performance and confidence? ✤ Covid related challenges? Or is it simply about ‘I’m not sure what’s bothering me but something just does not feel right’? On the other hand, you may be rather excited about a new project and feel the need for support to make that final jump so that dreams come true. Whatever it is, I believe Transformational Coaching may offer the solutions you seek.
The focus is on sustained change rather than a quick fix.
How IS THIS ACHIEVED?
IT IS ABOUT ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTIONS matched with the RIGHT ACTIONSso that the transformation in your life you desire emerges
ASK YOURSELF
How can I get from the ‘limited here’ to the ‘expansive there’? Whilst the past matters, does it have to define my present and the future? In which area of my life am I least satisfied?
The coaching process involves structured, focused interventions using appropriate strategies, tools and techniques to produce change. Based on my training and best practice guidelines from the EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council, UK), I work integratively using a CREATIVE model which draws together many schools of coaching, which have their roots in counselling theories. The tools, techniques and strategies I offer are in keeping with your personality, how you learn, your previous experiences with coaching and self-development and what you identify works for you.
Change does not have to be about discipline and willpower which may enhance our sense of guilt, shame and failure. It is a much more compassionate, thought provoking, insightful, courageous and, hopefully, joyful journey than that.
